SPECIAL TOPICS

Special Topics courses are offered on a limited basis. These courses are usually those that have been recently created by the faculty and are not a regular part of the overall curriculum. The focus of each course varies widely.

UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

ART 297 PUEBLA PROGRAM (3) (part of the Summer Education Abroad program). Supervised instruction in the studio arts of drawing and photography. There will be arranged visits to the studios of artists working in ceramics, painting, sculpture, etc.

ART 497H POETICS AND POLITICS OF BRAZILIAN ART AND CULTURE (3) Spring 2004 An introduction to Modern and Contemporary Brazilian art and cultural studies also designed for students with previous knowledge of the subject who want to explore some of its topics in-depth.
